Allie Mazurkiewicz

ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION SPECIALIST

Allie is a restoration technician with backgrounds in natural area restoration, invasive species control, native plant and community identification, wildlife monitoring, mapping, and state-level permitting and reporting. Allie has worked in the natural resources field professionally for four years as a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources wildlife intern, a conservation biologist for the Wisconsin DNR’s Natural Heritage Conservation (NHC) program, and currently as a restoration technician crew member with Heartland Ecological. With Heartland, Allie has participated on various restoration projects on a multitude of public and private lands. Additionally, Allie provides technical support in the field and office by mapping project areas in ArcGIS FieldMaps, composing field work summaries, and reporting chemical usage.  

Allie’s experience includes: invasive species control, prescribed burning, broadcast seeding, native herbaceous/shrub/tree plug planting, biocontrol application, heavy equipment mowing, native seed harvesting, rare species surveys, water control structure maintenance and monitoring, vegetation and wildlife monitoring and reporting, pesticide treatment reporting and mapping, and preparing state-level wetland and waterway permit applications.
