Ben is an Ecological Restoration Technician with Heartland Ecological Group, bringing a strong interest in environmental stewardship and hands-on experience in ecological conservation and restoration. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University, where he double majored in Economics and Criminology and Law Studies and completed coursework in environmental and natural resource economics and environmental history.

Ben’s restoration experience includes invasive species management, native planting and seed collection, and prairie and oak savanna conservation. Through his work with the Barrington Park District and Barrington Area Conservation Trust, he participated in the removal of invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle, establishment of native vegetation, and environmental education. His background also includes leadership and team management experience, complementing his passion for protecting and restoring Wisconsin’s natural areas.
