Maddie Kraemer

ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

Maddie is based out of Superior, Wisconsin and has nearly seven years of hands-on experience in ecological restoration, assessment, and mapping.

Most recently, Maddie served as a Project Manager with Prairie Restorations in northern Minnesota, where she supported city, state, and private landowner projects involving invasive species management, woody removal, native plant installation, and shoreline and wetland restoration. Her work also included site assessments, vegetation evaluations, landowner coordination, equipment operation, prescribed burning, erosion control, and preparation of work and herbicide reports. 

Maddie has prior experience with Heartland as a Restoration Technician and Crew Lead, where she led crews on mitigation, solar, wetland, and upland restoration projects across Wisconsin. In Maddie’s new role, she will expand her GIS skills supporting our assessment team, including mapping, reporting, and field support tasks.

Maddie holds an Associate’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado, and a GIS Certification.
