Matt is a Restoration Crew Lead at Heartland, based out of our southeastern Wisconsin location. He joined the restoration services team in November 2024 and quickly got to work on a major invasive species removal project in the renowned Cedarburg Bog.

Matt holds a degree in Forestry from Michigan State University and brings over six years of hands-on experience in environmental restoration. His expertise includes invasive species management, native habitat restoration, and prescribed fire. As a certified Burn Boss and former Wildland Firefighter, Matt brings a deep understanding of fire ecology and land management to every project he leads.

Matt is passionate about restoring ecological balance and enjoys working with diverse landscapes across the region.
