Max holds bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and biology from Iowa State University. Since graduating, he has built a strong background in land management and conservation, serving as a Park Ranger with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and as a Conservation Technician with Story County Conservation. His work has included conducting controlled burns, removing invasive species, establishing prairie plantings, and implementing water quality and erosion control measures, among other key efforts. Max and his family recently made the move from Iowa to Madison, and are excited to put down new roots.
