Welcome (Back) Maddie!

Maddie began her career at Heartland as an Ecological Restoration Technician and Crew Leader and re-joins us in her new role as Environmental Technician and GIS Specialist.

Maddie brings nearly seven years of hands-on experience in ecological restoration, assessment, and mapping. Most recently, she served as a Project Manager with Prairie Restorations in northern Minnesota, where she supported city, state, and private landowner projects involving invasive species management, woody removal, native plant installation, and shoreline and wetland restoration.

Maddie holds an associate’s degree in Environmental Science from Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, Colorado, and a GIS Certification.

In her new role, based out of Superior, WI, she will focus on assessment, mapping, reporting, and field support tasks.
