Restoration Ecology Training at Mount Horeb - Domini Location

Heartland leaders held a restoration ecology training with our Mount Horeb restoration crew, utilizing the acres of prairie land at our new property. The team was able to engage in plant identification, soil texturing, and preparing vegetation management plans. Our crews split into groups and were assigned plots to conduct vegetation meander surveys, assess soils, and create management plans for which they are responsible to execute this year.

I was impressed by everyone's knowledge and how the groups worked together to assess the land and identify management strategies.
